My husband had an upset stomach, so I ran to the store to buy some Alka-Seltzer. When I went to find it, there were a dozen types of Alka-Seltzer not one of them the original. Then I went to another Isle, and there it was. So frustrating I remember when there were not so many choices. If you wanted Alka-Seltzer, that was the only type. If you wanted Nyquil, there was only one type, and you knew what you were getting.
Is there nothing sacred anymore – every medicine has a dozen different types? Maybe I am showing my age. It was so much simpler when I could ask someone to pick something up for me and get exactly what I asked for. When I ask my husband to pick up something, he always gets the right brand but the wrong product….
Even candy companies do it now– I ask for Reece’s peanut butter cups, and I get mini’s.
