Personal Stories of Triumph, Pain and Everything In-between…

New stories, Things I have tried that work, How to posts.

What a wonderful day we had. My brother came out from Tooele, and we put my husband in the car, so we could go for a drive. Since I have been giving my husband, a supplement that actually causes ketosis (Keto//OS) he has just become so animated and his memory is so much better.

Before I started giving him Keto OS, he was taking a turn for the worst. I was in tears most of the time – but the improvement is astonishing now he is walking with assistance, when we drove passed a park that his mom and he use to walk in he told us about it, he even said this has been a wonderful day! Just seeing him smiling when we were out for the drive made my heart sing.

Before we started giving him this supplement, he was not walking, very lethargic and was in that state you see with Dementia patients – it looked like he was sleeping with his eye’s open and out of it most of the time.

I am not being “pollyanna”  or pretending he is going to get better because of the supplement. My purpose for trying this is so he have a better quality of life as long as we have him here with us.

This product seems to be living up to my wish.

I will put the product link on my resource page

For me it is  about brain health but it also helps in weight loss. This is an amazing product…

Through the Ultimate Blog Challenge, I just found a blog that is a god sent.  It is specifically about caring for a loved one with dementia; the author has intimate knowledge on the subject.

Just reading through her blog post touched me. Rhonda is an incredible writer. She has also written a book I went over to Amazon to see what her book was about. As I read the sample pages, I had to buy it.

If you are someone who is a caregiver, you need to go over and visit her blog and don’t forget to get her book. It is well worth the price.

Her name is Rhonda Parsons – the title of the blog is The Dementia Connection.

I watched Oprah this morning on Sundays she has a program called “super Soul Sundays” and it was fascinating. Oprah had Dr. Christiane Northrup a leading authority on women’s health and Time is tickingwellness. It was what I needed to see. Her new book is called  Goddesses Never Age: The Secret Prescription for Radiance, Vitality, and Well-Being

A quote from Dr. Northrups book:

“Ageless living is courageous living. It means being undistracted by the petty dramas of life because you have enough experience to know what’s not worth worrying about and what ought to be your priorities. It means establishing a new relationship to time, where you stop fearing it or trying to outrun it. When people over 100 were asked in a recent survey how they felt about reaching the triple digits, the top three answers were “blessed,” “happy,” and “surprised” – surprised because when you’re living agelessly, you don’t pay attention to your age, whatever it is.”

Listening to the conversation I realized I had been dwelling on the fact I was going to be 57 in a few short weeks. I don’t feel it, and I don’t think I look it but society does put you in a box when they know your age…

A few weeks ago I decided to do things I want, to enjoy life to the fullest the best I can with my life circumstances. This show was the affirmation that I needed; I am right. I have been giving my life to everyone else for over 50 years now it is time to give something back to me….
